Andrea Li Photoshoot

Playing with Canon's 24-70 L series last weekend, got to say LOVED IT. The clarity of each image was outstanding to me, I think this lens will be the next full time piece of inventory added to the Pixel Collection. Check back soon for the final photoshopped images.

Nick Murway Holiday

What a crazy holiday season this year, surgery, trips back to Cleveland, and lots of excitement. Now that we are moving forward into January things are starting to mellow back out, schools back in session, and I am back in the studio working on my personal art works, as well as shooting for Pixel Squared.

I wanted to take an opportunity to send a shout out to Nick Murway, one of my very best friends, and an amazing photographer. Nick and I live on opposite sides of the country from each other, but thankfully our parents’ houses are still just a few miles away. So when the holidays roll around we get the opportunity to hang out and talk shop.

This year my friends Dan and Kayla Conti asked if I would do a photo shoot with their newborn son Logan. Unfortunately I could not bring my studio setup with me back to Cleveland; thankfully Nick had his gear and was more than happy to do the shoot.

This was the first infant child shoot either of us had done, but I have to say the images that Nick was able to capture were amazing.

Take a moment to check out Nick’s portfolio and blog He just finished his 365 mobile upload project and I got to say it’s quite impressive.

I lost the Droid

I recently traveled back home to Cleveland to visit my parents, little sister, and friends from high school. I had a great trip and was extremely pleased to see everyone again after a year time lapse. Right before I left I had recently purchased the new Motorola Driod for Pixel Squared Studios. I took a bump in flights out of Cleveland to Denver, for a flight that re-routed me from Cleveland, to Atlanta, To Denver. During my connection flight from Atlanta to Denver I went to use the Lavatory, and dropped my brand new droid from my shirt pocket, directly into the toilet in the Lavatory. I do not believe after this experience I will ever change flights again or even remotely put valuables in a shirt pocket again. AGGGGG!

Andrea Li & Tricia Hoke Trunk & Fashion Show

Pixel Squared had the great opportunity to shoot the Andrea Li trunk show this past month. Hosted in the beautiful Lisa Kowalski Gallery in the River North Arts District, Li's show was one of Denver's top high fashion events of 2009

Li's jewelry was displayed in a naturalistic and elegant instillation on top of large branches suspended from the ceiling. Li's sculptural creations of gemstones, silver and gold, made quite a harmonious blend when laid on top and within the branches that created the installations

Andrea Li paired with designer Tricia Hoke, to put on a runway fashion show displaying Li's high end works, Hoke's dress wear, and hair by André

All in all the Andrea Li and Tricia Hoke trunk and fashion show was quite a hit, and here at Pixel Squared Studios, we look forward to future events with these great designers of Denver
